Prior to founding Operose Advisors, Nick was Principal and Director of Geneva Capital Management in Milwaukee, WI. While at Geneva Capital Nick oversaw the growth of the firm’s institutional business from $1 billion of assets under management to $6.8 billion.
He played a key role in the sale of Geneva’s business to Henderson Global Investors based in London and subsequently managed Henderson’s North American institutional business development efforts.
Nick holds a B.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Nick currently serves on the Board of Directors of Rogers Behavioral Health System and is a member of the Executive Committee and Chair of the Finance & Investment Committee.
Caroline Jankowski is currently Chief Compliance Officer and Director – Operations of Operose Advisors. Prior to joining Operose, Caroline was a Partner and Project Lead with Vista360, LLC, a management consulting firm in Milwaukee, WI. During her 11+ years at Vista360, Caroline was responsible for assisting investment advisers and funds with SEC compliance and strategic matters, while also leading the firm’s research and consulting process efforts. Prior to joining Vista360, Caroline was Chief Financial Officer of Ziegler Capital Management and its proprietary fund family.
Caroline holds a B.A. in Economics and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin.
Caroline currently serves on the Board of Directors of Bloom360 Learning Community, a non-profit school for children with neuro-diverse needs.
Stuart Desmond is currently Director at Operose Advisors. Prior to joining Operose, Stuart was Director, Institutional Sales with Robert W. Baird in Milwaukee, WI. During his 20+ years at R.W. Baird, Stuart was responsible for presenting equity investment research to portfolio managers and analysts of large asset management companies. His responsibilities also included facilitating meetings between senior management of publicly traded companies with industry professionals.
Prior to joining R.W. Baird, Stuart was an Institutional Sales Broker for Cleary Gull Reiland and McDevitt.
Stuart holds a B.A from the University of Arizona.
Kristin Stanek is currently an Associate at Operose Advisors. Prior to joining Operose Advisors, Kristin was Principal and Senior Research Analyst at Geneva Capital Management in Milwaukee, WI. Kristin joined Geneva in 2004, which was later acquired by Henderson Global Investors in 2014. Kristin served as a member of the Investment Strategy Group which managed more than $6 billion in assets under management, focusing on high-quality small and mid-cap growth strategies.
Kristin holds a B.A. from Coe College and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Burton Grinyer is currently Director – Operations at Operose Advisors. Prior to joining Operose Advisors, Burton was a Senior Operations Specialist at Cleary Gull Advisors, a Johnson Financial Group Company in Milwaukee, WI. Burton joined Cleary Gull Advisors in 2008 and oversaw the maintenance of $10 billion of client assets. He has worked for more than 25 years in the financial services industry with an emphasis in Operations, including Vice President of Operations for Emjay Corporation, a division of Wells Fargo.
Burton holds a B.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Prior to joining Operose Advisors, Rob was founder and managing partner of Bull Moose Investments. While at Bull Moose, Rob provided investment advisory services to entrepreneurs and high net worth individuals as well as retirement plan services to small businesses. Bull Moose Investments was acquired by Operose in 2018. Rob continues to serve as a Partner at Bull Moose Financial where he provides accounting and tax services to small businesses and entrepreneurs.
Rob holds a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame, an MBA from Indiana University, and an M.S. in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University.
Rob has served as a mentor to the NFL’s Business Management & Entrepreneurial Program and is on the advisory board for the Youth Impact Program.
