Prior to founding Operose Advisors, Nick was Principal and Director of Geneva Capital Management in Milwaukee, WI. While at Geneva Capital Nick oversaw the growth of the firm’s institutional business from $1 billion of assets under management to $6.8 billion.
He played a key role in the sale of Geneva’s business to Henderson Global Investors based in London and subsequently managed Henderson’s North American institutional business development efforts.
Nick holds a B.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Nick serves on the Board of Directors and Finance & Investment Committee of Rogers Behavioral Health System and the Finance & Investment Committee of Versiti, Inc. He’s also on the Board of Directors of Terova Senior Living and is a member of the Limited Partner Advisory Committee for the Marcus Real Estate Fund.
Stuart Desmond is currently Director at Operose Advisors. Prior to joining Operose, Stuart was Director, Institutional Sales with Robert W. Baird in Milwaukee, WI. During his 20+ years at R.W. Baird, Stuart was responsible for presenting equity investment research to portfolio managers and analysts of large asset management companies. His responsibilities also included facilitating meetings between senior management of publicly traded companies with industry professionals.
Prior to joining R.W. Baird, Stuart was an Institutional Sales Broker for Cleary Gull Reiland and McDevitt.
Stuart holds a B.A from the University of Arizona.
Burton Grinyer is currently Director – Operations at Operose Advisors. Prior to joining Operose Advisors, Burton was a Senior Operations Specialist at Cleary Gull Advisors, a Johnson Financial Group Company in Milwaukee, WI. Burton joined Cleary Gull Advisors in 2008 and oversaw the maintenance of $10 billion of client assets. He has worked for more than 25 years in the financial services industry with an emphasis in Operations, including Vice President of Operations for Emjay Corporation, a division of Wells Fargo.
Burton holds a B.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Caroline Jankowski is currently Chief Compliance Officer and Director – Operations of Operose Advisors. Prior to joining Operose, Caroline was a Partner and Project Lead with Vista360, LLC, a management consulting firm in Milwaukee, WI. During her 11+ years at Vista360, Caroline was responsible for assisting investment advisers and funds with SEC compliance and strategic matters, while also leading the firm’s research and consulting process efforts. Prior to joining Vista360, Caroline was Chief Financial Officer of Ziegler Capital Management and its proprietary fund family.
Caroline holds a B.A. in Economics and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin.
Caroline has served on the Board of Directors of Bloom360 Learning Community, a non-profit school for children with neuro-diverse needs and St. Francis Children’s Center.
Maggie McGowan is the Marketing Associate for Operose Advisors. She joined the firm in 2020 and is responsible for managing and implementing the firm’s marketing strategy including corporate communication, event planning, content creation, production of marketing materials and development of social media strategies. Prior to joining Operose Advisors, Maggie worked for Robert W. Baird in Milwaukee, WI.
Maggie holds a B.A. in Journalism with a minor in Corporate Communication from Marquette University.
Skip McGregor is currently Managing Director at Operose Advisors. Prior to joining Operose, Skip was a Managing Director at Robert W. Baird serving in various roles over his 20+ years with the firm. His most recent role was in business development for Greenhouse Funds, a private investment management company for which Baird has a minority ownership interest. He started his career at Baird on the Institutional Sales team covering asset management firms on the West Coast.
Skip serves on the Board of Directors of Milwaukee Winter Club.

Beth Raduenz is currently the Client Service Associate at Operose Advisors. Prior to joining Operose Advisors, Beth was General Manager at Rivermoor Golf Club in Waterford, WI. Additionally, Beth spent 7 years at Geneva Capital Management in Milwaukee, WI. Beth joined Geneva, which was later acquired by Henderson Global Investors, in 2014. Beth held roles as both an Executive Assistant to the Principals/Portfolio Managers of Geneva and Research Assistant to the entire Investment team. Beth also brings 20 years of excellent customer service experience from the former Milwaukee-based Midwest Express Airlines.
Kristin Stanek is currently Director at Operose Advisors. Prior to joining Operose Advisors, Kristin was Principal and Senior Research Analyst at Geneva Capital Management in Milwaukee, WI. Kristin joined Geneva in 2004, which was later acquired by Henderson Global Investors in 2014. Kristin served as a member of the Investment Strategy Group which managed more than $6 billion in assets under management, focusing on high-quality small and mid-cap growth strategies.
Kristin holds a B.A. from Coe College and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Jim Wenzler is currently Director at Operose Advisors. Prior to joining Operose, Jim spent 13 years at Broadview Advisors leading institutional business development efforts. In this role, Jim developed key relationships with investment consulting firms across the US while managing client relationships within Broadview.
Before joining Broadview Advisors he was Senior Consultant and Director of Research at Alpha Investment Consulting Group where he worked with endowment, foundation, Taft Hartley, corporate and high net worth clients on all aspects of the portfolio management process.
Jim holds a B.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Jim serves on the Board of Directors of Marquette University High School where he is a member of the Executive Committee and Chair of the Investment Committee.
